The Marx generator uses a 10-20kV high voltage DC power supply. Its output voltage is up to tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of volts. It can be used for high voltage pulse power supply experiment and teaching of electromagnetics.

A Marx generator can produce intense electronic interference. So, it is not recommended to use a switching power supply. It is recommended to use electromagnetic interference-resistant power sources such as lithium batteries, lead acid batteries and transformers to power the ZVS high-voltage power supply. At the same time, it should be kept at least 3 meters away from electric appliances to avoid electromagnetic interference.
